Tidy the studio there are jars on the table by the sink, a free-standing shelf to tidy, some rolls of paper under a table and some red pots of paint below and to the left of Carl’s painting rig. Take Carl into the studio and remove the sheet when prompted. Then look to the nearby bookshelves, in front of the piano, and select one to read (you can choose to play the piano or chess on the opposite side of the room instead, but there is no narrative difference and reading the book is marginally quicker). Now that you’re free to wander, go to the coffee table in front of the TV and between the sofas to read the magazine. Set him up at the dining table and head into the kitchen. Wheel Carl to the top of the stairs and he’ll use the lift pick him back up again at the bottom and wheel him into the main living area at the back of the house. Open the curtains, administer the medicine and take him to the bathroom. *** Spoiler - click to reveal *** Put the paint box down on the small cabinet to the left of the entrance and head straight upstairs, across the balcony to the left and into Carl’s room. Kara discovered the content of Alice's box She’ll give you a key make sure to open the box opposite Alice’s little tent and interact with the contents before heading back downstairs where the chapter will close out. Speak to Alice, every option seems relatively safe but the “Mother” option lowers Alice’s opinion of you a bit. (You can clean other rooms up here if you wish.) Tidy Alice’s bed and the shelf by the door and make sure to open the window. Leave for Alice’s room at the other end of the corridor, on the right. Tidy all surfaces in the room and the guitar (you don’t need to clean the bedside table nearest the door, but you can). Read the magazine immediately right of the door on the shelf. Head upstairs and enter the first room at the top of the stairs, Todd’s room. Clearing the dining table allows you to access the magazine on it, make sure that you do. You should finish one side activity down here, which is to clean the dining table (this involves discovering the dishwasher is broken and then manually washing the dishes). Once you have picked up these items you will have to take the trash bags out to the road. The only cleaning task you have to complete downstairs to continue the chapter is to take out the trash, by picking up the trash bin in the kitchen and interacting with the kitchen counter, the counter dividing the kitchen from the living room, and the coffee table. *** Spoiler - click to reveal *** Get out of the car and enter the house. However you “succeed” in your mission you will get the following when you reach the flowchart at the end of the chapter. Either sacrifice yourself when you get the opportunity or try some of the other options even if you completely fail to stop Daniel jumping, Connor will always ultimately save the girl by throwing himself off the building with Daniel while pushing her back. Note that by failing to investigate anything in the apartment it will likely be difficult to convince him to stand down. From here you just need to walk as far as you can towards Daniel at the edge of the balcony. You’ll have to confirm your choice to leave, as this decision leads to the end of the chapter you can’t go back. The absolute fastest way through the chapter is to head all the way through the apartment, talk to the Captain (locate him with and head for the yellow square this is your main “point of interest” discovery tool for the whole game), then head left and left again to exit to the balcony. Connor can be killed fairly easily in this chapter we’re not going for “I’LL BE BACK” in this playthrough but equally his death won’t affect any of the trophies we are aiming for. *** Spoiler - click to reveal *** This is basically the one chapter that can play out pretty much however you want.
